05-12-04 It's Official. Sonya Isaacs and Lyric Street records have parted ways. This comes after her latest single, "No Regrets Yet" peaked at #36 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart, her highest position to date. Her sophomore album will not be released.

Also, old news, but still worth mentioning, The SHARE album, (Songs of Hope, Awareness & Recovery for Everyone) which included Sonya along with 19 other artists on the song, "When Love Rules the World," had a music video released to GAC which included Sonya. So, check it out and you can even vote for it at GAC's website: countrystars.com.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but my computer lost internet access, and I couldn't get to the files to update the site. But I'm back in business now.

02-05-04  "No Regets Yet" moves up one spot to #36 this week, in its 13th week on the chart. Let's give Sonya her first Top 30 hit by calling radio and requesting right now!

1-29-04  "No Regrets Yet" falls one spot to #37 after 2 weeks at #36. This is the single's 12th week on the chart. It's crucial that we request the song TODAY!

1-15-04 TOP 40 HIT! "No Regrets Yet" moves up 3 spots this week to #36 from 2 weeks at #39.  This is the songs 10th week on the chart.

12-30-03  NEARING TOP 40!  Sonya's single, "No Regrets Yet" moves up 6 spots to #41 in its 7th week on the latest Billboard Country Singles charts. This is her highest charting single to date! Congratulations Sonya! Let's make sure this becomes her first Top 40 by calling country radio and requesting it this week!

12-16-03 NO REGRETS YET holds steady at #48 in its 5th week on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, with a bullet. (A bullet means the total number of times it was played on the radio increased from the previous week.)

11-20-03 MOVING ON UP! "No Regrets Yet" re-enters the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart at #54 this week, that's 6 positions higher than her debut 2 weeks ago! (It didn't chart last week). Let's give Sonya her first Top 40 single by calling radio and requesting this song!

10-05-03 You can hear Sonya's voice on the new Reba McEntire HIT single, I'm Gonna Take that Mountain, from her upcoming album, Room to Breathe, to be released on November 18th.

Word on the Street (Lyric Streeet that is) is that Sonya will have a new single released to country radio in October titled No Regrets. She has been in the studio reworking her latest album, tentatively titled Pictures of Me.

07-21-03  NEW RECORDING:  Martina McBride and Mark Wills are among the country artists joining forces on The Songs of Hope, Awareness and Recovery for Everyone (SHARE), a CD coordinated and produced by a volunteer group of Nashville-based drug and alcohol treatment professionals and music industry executives. Set for Aug. 26 release, the CD is highlighted by "When Love Rules the World," a new song co-written by Kent Blazy, Blair Daly and Tom Douglas. Paul Worley produced the recording featuring vocals by McBride, Wills, Rhett Akins, Susan Ashton, Sherrie Austin, T. Graham Brown, Gary Burr, Ricky Lynn Gregg, Sonya Isaacs, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Hal Ketchum, Raul Malo, Kathy Mattea, Michael Peterson, Jon Randall, Collin Raye and Daryle Singletary. The other 16 songs on the CD include previously released material, including George Jones' "Choices.” CD sales benefit substance abuse prevention and treatment programs.

07-01-03  Sonya and Dolly Parton Record Duet  Due September 30, 2003, is a Louvin Brothers tribute album titled Livin', Lovin', Losin'. It will contain a new track by Sonya and Dolly titled "The Angels Rejoiced." Others singing on the album are Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Patty Loveless, Vince Gill, Johnny Cash, Pam Tillis and many, many others. Sonya also makes an appearnace in the new IMAX film titled "Our Country." It is a 37 minute film about the history of country music. Sonya appeared in the Grand Ole Opry segment. Reviews of the film have been unfavorable. To read more about it, click here.

The O Mickey Where Art Thou album which features Sonya on the beautiful, "When Somebody Loved Me," made a 9 week chart run, peaking at # 51, on the Top Country Albums Chart. It falls one space to number 9 in its 12th week on this week's Top Bluegrass Albums chart, and peaked at # 5.

04-10-03  The O Mickey Where Art Thou album debuted at #60 on the Billboard Country Album Charts and at #5 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, both dated April 19, 2003. Sonya sings the beautiful song "When Somebody Loved Me."

03-25-03 NEW MUSIC! Sonya appears on a new Disney album titled O Mickey Where Art Thou? which will be released on 04-01-03. Sonya sings the beautiful song "When Somebody Loved Me."
